Stand-Alone Treatments

We understand that not everyone is able to commit to a full plan of care and would rather benefit from specific treatments to improve pain and function quickly and affordably. Paragon Physical Therapy offers Dry Needling and Fascial Manipulation as stand-alone treatments that can be performed on an as-needed basis, without a physician referral.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a specialized treatment designated to relieve muscle tension and neuro-musculoskeletal pain. Using fine, solid filament needles, this can technique targets trigger points to alleviate pain and improve mobility, can target specific areas of injury to accelerate healing, and target neuropathic pain such as sciatica. Dry Needling has become a popular option for patients seeking quick pain relief. Dry needling can also be used in conjunction with their ongoing therapy. You may also schedule a consultation to learn more about this technique or if you are a candidate for this treatment.

Fascial Manipulation

Fascial Manipulation improves the neuromuscular function of our musculoskeletal system. Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds our muscles, tendons, joints, nerve and blood vessels, and internal organs. Fascia can become rigid for many reasons. They include injury, immobilization (wearing a sling, brace, cast, etc.), chronic inflammation, surgery, hospitalization, and repetitive strains and sprains to an area. This process can take place over long periods of time and often leads to chronic and unexplained pain.

Our therapists will conduct an in-depth assessment of your body’s fascial system and establish a treatment strategy specific to your injury, medical history, and lifestyle. Treatment of the deep fascia will restore proper movement patterns, decrease pain, and even improve internal organ motility and function. If you wish to learn more, schedule a free consultation to see if this treatment can benefit you.
